In the past, dentists had to rely solely on physical impressions of your teeth to help plan crowns, bridges and orthodontic treatments. The process can be messy and slow and can only show you how your teeth look now- not how they might look after the Invisalign treatment.
The iTero Element 5D Imaging System allows the team at Cherryvalley Dental Care to take digital scans of your mouth that we then use to create highly detailed images of your teeth. With this amazing technology you will literally see everything the dentist sees to help your understand your mouth and treatments better.
We have created a digital workflow to improve communication with our
patients both before, during and after your visits with us. It gives both you and
us a better understanding of your oral health and problems you may face,
along with the solutions for you.
It starts with a digital medical health questionnaire and other dental forms
sent to your mobile device/ tablet. These necessary forms can be completed in
the comfort of your home whenever suits and returned securely to your
notes. This can increase the amount of time your dental team have to spend
helping you.
We use modern digital technology to record images of your teeth to allow us a
better record of problems and solutions to discuss with you- a picture is worth
a thousand words. For decades we have spent an ever increasing amount of
time writing description of your health and treatments, a picture can often
record these details in more depth and give us more information in the same
way a necessary xray picture is a vital part of your journey. This also allows us
to forward you a digital copy of any pictures we hold for your information and
to supply you with advice and treatment forms you need to help understand
your dental health.
We have invested in digital scanning technology- an iTero 5D scanned. These
allows us to scan your teeth and create accurate 3D colour images for us to
talk about problems and treatment options- we can even show you the
treatment outcomes for some treatments before you make a decision or
commitment to the treatment.
We have used digital technology to take xray pictures to allow quality images
at a lower xray dose for your protection.
